I question the motives behind Enkidu's actions seeing as he was created as a wild man to challenge Gilgamesh and rid him of his ignorance. This makes me feel as though Enkidu is not trustworthy because he is a wild man who was raised by animals. Enkidu embodies the wild world in the story. Enkidu and Gilgamesh become life long companions which obviously answers the question of Enkidu being friend although I did question if he was a foe at first. I think that Aruru accomplished what she created Enkidu for because eventually Gilgamesh did become more compassionate and less ignorant while Enkidu became more tame and more human like. Each friend benefited the other.
