The God Enlil created a beast named Humbaba to represent evil and terror to humans. Humbaba lives in a forest that Enkidu and Gilgamesh travel to to kill this beast. There is a huge battle and the two companions Enkidu and Gilgamesh defeat the best Humbaba. Humbaba tries to fool the friends in a last effort to escape the two. I think this shows how strong Gilgamesh is even though he is one third human.
